Cleveland Strip Clubs: Elect rank-and-file committees to defend jobs and living standards

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the October 16, 2009

Above all the working class faces a political struggle against the Obama administration and the two parties of American capitalism, the Democrats and Republicans. To make sure the wealth produced by the working class is used to meet society’s needs, not bail out the rich and wage war, the working class must take political power into its own hands.
Workers are not responsible for the collapse of the auto industry, let alone the worst crisis of American and world capitalism since the Great Depression. The ill-gotten gains of the financial aristocracy and corporate elite should be confiscated without compensation. Trillions must be allocated to create good-paying secure jobs, guarantee health care, housing and education to all, and put an end to foreclosures, evictions and utility shutoffs.
The auto industry—built up through the labor of generations of workers—cannot be left in the hands of the corporate executives and Wall Street asset strippers who have worked to destroy it. Instead, the industry must be transformed into a public utility, owned and controlled by working people, with all economic decisions, including the election of management, subjected to democratic vote.

ELYRIA — The owner of the former Club 57 strip club was sentenced to two years of probation Wednesday for allowing a 15-year-old girl to dance nude and semi-nude at the club.
As part of a plea bargain with prosecutors, David Shapiro, 44, agreed he will stay out of the bar business in the future, at least in Ohio.

“As a condition of the plea, the defendant pledges to never, ever — until he passes away — operate a bar or tavern in the state,” said Assistant County Prosecutor Michael Kinlin.
Shapiro pleaded guilty earlier to attempted child endangering, a fifth-degree felony that could have sent him to prison for a year. He initially was charged with fourth-degree child endangering, which was amended in exchange for the plea.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Former strip club owner gets probation for underage dancer

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the October 15, 2009

ELYRIA — A former strip club owner accused of allowing an underage girl to dance at his club has been sentenced to two years of community control sanctions.
David Shapiro, 44, former owner of Club 57 in Elyria, was sentenced by Lorain County Common Pleas Court Judge Raymond Ewers yesterday after he pleaded guilty in July to attempted child endangering.
As part of his plea agreement, Shapiro agreed not to own or operate any establishment that serves alcohol in Ohio.
Shapiro and his attorney Doug Merrill declined comment after yesterday’s sentencing.
Shapiro was accused of letting a 15-year-old girl dance semi-nude and nude at the club on Oct. 25 and 26, 2008, according to prosecutors.

The city originally filed a lawsuit against Shapiro in March 2006, when city officials claimed the gentleman’s club did not have proper zoning.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Exotic dancer sentenced for stabbing stripper with stiletto

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the October 15, 2009

A woman has been sentenced to a year of probation for attacking a fellow exotic dancer in the face with a stiletto heel at a US strip club.
The Akron Beacon-Journal reported that Chetania Davis, 22, pleaded guilty on Tuesday in Akron to a misdemeanour assault charge as part of a deal with prosecutors.
Prosecutors said Davis used the heel to stab her 52-year-old co-worker several times in the club dressing room on April 17, causing wounds that required seven staples. It was the older woman’s first day on the job.
Police had said she was attacked because Davis did not think the club needed more dancers.
Defence lawyer Tom DiCaudo said that Davis was defending herself during a fight. He said she wanted to move on with her life.

Chetania Davis Gets Probation For Attacking Fellow Stripper With Her Stiletto
Chetania Davis gave her stripper co-worker a first day on the job to remember (or to try really hard to forget) by attacking the 52-year-old woman in the face with her stiletto heel. Davis, 22,  apparently stabbed the older woman in the dressing room of the club where they danced because she thought the venue didn’t need any more dancers. The newbie had to get 7 staples in her face to repair the damages.

This all happened in April, but Davis, who is 8 months pregnant, just got sentenced to a year of probation by pleading guilty. The judge knocked off her 6-month jail sentence as part of the deal, as Davis maintained she was defending herself.

Cleveland Massage Parlors: Sir John A. Macdonald’s suspected Scottish birthplace awaits wrecking ball

Posted in Cleveland massage parlors by cleveland-massage on the October 14, 2009

Renewed interest in the birthplace of Canadaâs first prime minister was sparked four years ago by a Canwest News Service investigation into the state of a two-story building in Glasgowâs historic Merchant City district that had long been linked with Macdonaldâs early years.
Born in January 1815 to parents Hugh and Helen Macdonald, the future Father of Confederation spent just five years in Glasgow before the family emigrated to Kingston, Ont., in what was then Upper Canada.
Records from Macdonaldâs days in Scotland are scant, but the only surviving building definitively associated with the family from that time, apart from the Ramshorn Kirk, a historic church in the same district, is a dilapidated former pub at 20 Brunswick St. â the Fox and Hound â and a defunct massage parlour upstairs called the New Executive Club.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: When Stilettos Are Outlawed, Only Outlaws Will Have Stilletos

When Stilettos Are Outlawed, Only Outlaws Will Have Stilletos
Do strippers have a 2nd Amendment right to wear high heels? Stripper pleads guilty to stilleto stabbing:
Chetania Davis was pissed that her club hired another dancer to work at Akron establishment, so on April 14, 2009, while they were in the dressing room, she took off her stiletto and stabbed the 52-year-old woman in the face several times.
I think the obviously overlooked angle on this story is: what was a 52 year old doing working at a strip club?!?!?!
Um, remind me never to go to a strip club if I’m ever in Akron.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Shoes, Stabbings, And Strippers

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the October 14, 2009

I didn’t know high heels could be deadly, but Chetania Davis sure did.  The 22-year-old was working as a stripper in an Akron, Ohio, club when she had a disagreement with another dancer.  So she did what any reasonable woman would do in that situation:  she repeatedly stabbed the other woman with the heel of her shoe.  Chetania’s victim, a 52-year-old reporting to her first night of stripper duty, required 7 staples to close the shoe wounds.

I think it’d be a big niche business, but I’m pretty sure someone already has cornered the market on this sort of thing.  That’s okay; I’m too honest to be a fight promoter and not sleazy enough to own a strip club or boxing gym.  Either way, you know people would watch this if it was real.

October 14, 2009, 11:10AM
AKRON  — A woman has been sentenced to a year of probation for attacking a fellow exotic dancer in the face with a stiletto heel at an Ohio club.
In a deal with prosecutors, 22-year-old Chetania Davis pleaded guilty in Akron Tuesday to a misdemeanor assault charge in the April 17 incident. She was originally charged with more serious felonious assault, which could have brought up to eight years in prison if convicted.
Prosecutors say Davis used the shoe to strike the other woman several times in the club dressing room, causing wounds that required seven staples.
Defense attorney Tom DiCaudo maintains Davis was defending herself during a fight. But he says she took the plea to move on with her life.
