Cleveland Adult Entertainment: NBA At 2: The Unsung Hero In OKC

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the November 27, 2009

So far, that dimension has helped the Thunder immensely as they seek to realize the tremendous potential they are widely believed to possess. It’s early, but the team has played well, and their 3-3 record represents a vast improvement over last season. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and Jeff Green deserve the lion’s share of the credit for their success, but Thabo Sefolosha is equally deserving. His defense is a crucial element of OKC’s defensive scheme.More Than Just An Athlete
Over the weekend I had a chance to visit with Mike Baldwin of The Oklahoman, and he told me he was working on this great story about Etan Thomas, one that was being picked up back in DC, as well, due to Thomas’ background there. We don’t often pimp other stories just to pimp them, but in this case an exception must be made. Here’s an excerpt from Baldwin’s piece:

Cleveland Strip Clubs: The Biggest Myth in College Basketball

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the November 25, 2009

Don’t get me wrong; I’m not hating on Calipari or saying he’s not a great college coach. The two keys to winning at this level are recruiting and game management, and Cal’s track record has proven he’s one of best recruiters — if not the best — to come along in the last 20-something years. But the idea that he is somehow to college point guards what Mike Holmgren is to NFL quarterbacks is just false.
Still, next spring when Wall gets picked somewhere in the Top-5 of the NBA Draft, the legend will continue to grow. The world has been convinced that Coach Cal cranks out NBA PG’s like Las Vegas community colleges crank out strippers — and somehow, the best salesman in the college game didn’t even have to do the convincing.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Safety talk unites campus

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the November 24, 2009

Students, administration officials and Kent State University Police representatives came together to have a conversation about safety and the recent events affecting Kent State.
Police Lts. Monica Moll and Robert Nation asked students what they were concerned about. Hands popped up and voices spoke out to get the ball rolling for the hour- and-a-half conversation in Oscar Ritchie Hall.
One professor was concerned for her students walking back from class late at night.
Nation said students should be aware of the escort service on campus. The service operates between 8 p.m. and 4 a.m. each night. The service can be reached at 330-672-7004. Emergency phones, recognizable by a blue light, are also available outdoors.
Kent State Police are in constant radio communication with the Kent City Police, Nation said. Kent State Police also keep in radio contact with the escort service and even communicate with Parking Services.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Hundreds talk crime at KSU

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the November 24, 2009

Others recommended using the university’s security escort service, especially late at night.

KENT: They came by the hundreds.
About 300 Kent State University students and faculty members attended a meeting tonight to talk about campus security.
The meeting organized by the Black United Students came on the heels of a pair of robberies and the death of a Kent student over the weekend from injuries suffered in an off-campus altercation.
”This is a college campus and we can’t have this going on,” said George Carson, 20, a junior.
Kent State officials are working hard to assure students and their parents that campus is safe.
Two off-campus incidents one that led to a student death and an on-campus robbery do not mean the Kent area is under the throes of any major crime wave, they say.
Still, KSU police are beefing up foot and bike patrols, especially at night, and urging students to be vigilant. A handful of worried parents have called campus.
”It …

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Doctor admired for efforts

… You work with getting their life under control,” Buchanan said. “It’s a Catch-22 for lots of folks if they can’t afford medicine and their case worsens and they lose their income and wind up on the streets. We try to reverse that.”
The sadness comes from seeing patients who cannot seem to help themselves.
“I think what’s frustrating and tragic is we deal with lots of people, especially in the STD (sexually transmitted diseases) and TB (tuberculosis) clinic who are down on their luck and have made choices in their lives that are unthinkable — for the most part prostitutes and drug addicts,” she said. “We see them come back in over and over with issues related to their lifestyles. People are stuck in that lifestyle. We get to know them on a very personal level.”

Cleveland Escorts: Conroe man convicted of arson in Polk County

Posted in Cleveland escorts by clevelandhobbyist on the November 22, 2009

As TSFM arson investigators Kyle Morris and Mark Cheney investigated the site, using a dog trained to detect the presence of accelerants, the dog alerted on debris piles, both testified.
Samples of the debris tested positive for the presence of fuel oil, but the tests did not idenify what type of oil, according to Hon’s statement.
The TSFM then officially classified the fire as being intentionally set.
The LCPD and the BATF executed a search warrant at Stanley’s Lake Charles home and recovered multiple weapons.
Hon stated that he believes when investigators searched the home they found several handguns and “maybe some long guns.”
Authorities also recovered what were described as “other evidentiary items” at the Lake Charles house, including items linking Stanley to the Aryan Brotherhood.
The Aryan Brotherhood was founded in 1967, according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The group has been involved in crimes including extortion, racketeering, prostitution, drug trafficking and multiple murders-for-hire.

Cleveland Escorts: Moratorium will hold off permits for sex-related businesses in Berea

Posted in Cleveland escorts by clevelandhobbyist on the November 20, 2009

… This is a very short moratorium,” said Gregory M. Sponseller, the city’s law director and prosecutor. “We do have a right and obligation to minimize those potential secondary affects. We are justified, in my opinion.”
Mayor Cyril Kleem said he has received no specific requests from such businesses for a building or occupancy permit.
Some of the “adult” businesses listed under this moratorium includes arcades, bookstores, cabarets, entertainment out-call services such as semi-nude dancing or exhibition, motion picture theaters, semi-nude model studies and sexual encounter establishments.
Council also agreed to include a list of the potential adverse secondary effects that adult entertainment and sexually oriented businesses can have upon a community. Some of them include public indecency, illicit sexual behavior, prostitution, the spread of disease, illicit drug use and drug trafficking, personal and property crimes and sexual assault and exploitation.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Cleveland party bus offers fun, safe ride

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the November 19, 2009

The bus was sectioned off into three rooms. The first room was two-thirds of the length of the bus. Seats lined the walls facing inward. A small bar was nestled in the back corner near the entrance to the next rooms. The other rooms sat four to six people.
Everyone slowly settled into a seat or found a spot by the bar. Most were already drinking when they found their seats. A group standing by the bar poured shots into Sheetz coffee cups.
“The party already started before the bus left,” a girl said as someone handed her one of the foam cups.
Riders burst into laughter and loud groans when the first beer spilled before the bus even left.
Soon, a man stood up in the front of the bus and urged everyone to quiet down for a second so he could explain the rules.
“You on the stripper pole, shut up,” yelled a guy toward the back.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: No winners in AI, Jackson sagas

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the November 17, 2009

While conventional wisdom may hold that the Bobcats “won” the deal by getting the best player, the baggage Jackson brings to Charlotte adds a layer of risk that could undermine his impact. Frequently foolish but not stupid, Jackson will be on his best behavior with the Bobcats early, knowing he faces the formidable task of rehabilitating an image damaged and repaired repeatedly by his own actions.
After being suspended for his role in the infamous Palace brawl and then again for a subsequent incident in which he fired a gun outside an Indianapolis strip club, Jackson was shipped to Golden State. Jackson took to his new surroundings well, helping spark the Warriors’ upset of the top-seeded Mavericks in the 2007 playoffs. He was named team captain and received league awards for his work in the community. And last year, he was rewarded with a three-year, $28 million contract extension that doesn’t kick in until next season.
