Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Pimps who picked up undercover officers at Westlake Center convicted

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the January 21, 2010

Roosevelt “City Red” Johnson Jr., was arrested in July following a daylight sting operation at Westlake Center after trying to get an undercover Seattle officer to work as a prostitute for him.

“Over the years, vice detectives have contacted and interviewed numerous juvenile prostitutes who detailed how they were initially contacted and subsequently groomed by pimps in this specific area,” investigators told the court. “The pimps recruit potential prostitutes via phased manipulation, the duration and degree of which is dictated by the personalities involved.”

Speaking with the men, the officers told each they were underage. Undeterred, Johnson continued to proposition the officers and suggest they prostitute for him.

Johnson was convicted of attempted promoting commercial sexual abuse of a minor, O’Donnell said. Payton was convicted of second-degree attempted promoting prostitution.
A hearing was scheduled Thursday in which a judge was expected to rule on whether Johnson was acting on behalf of the West Side Street Mobb when he attempted to prostitute the officer. Such a finding would increase the penalty against Johnson.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: King service has Jesus as its star

Ms. Dixon urged members of Lo-Salem, whose church is near an outdoor basketball facility, to go out and get to know the young people who shoot hoops during the warm months. They could take them bottled water, she said. They should stay and talk to the young people, she said. If church members are filled with Jesus Christ, she said, that essence ”will come out of your pores” to the young people, Ms. Dixon said.
”Dont expect sinners to knock down your [church] doors,” she said. ”Jesus said, Go and make disciples.
”Are we willing to step out of our pulpits and out of our pews and make a real and practical difference in the lives of the gang bangers across the street, the alcoholic next door, and the prostitute we drive by, in order to draw them to Christ, teach them how to use their skills to make legal money and show them how to be real fathers and real mothers to their children?”

Cleveland Strip Clubs: NBA Trade Rumor: Andre Iguodala to the Cavs?

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the January 21, 2010

With the NBA trade deadline one month away, the rumors continue to swirl.  Latest Cavs-related bit to hit the wire comes from ESPN’s Marc Stein who attempts to link Cleveland to a possible deal with Philadelphia for Andre Iguodala.
On paper, Iquodala is just what the Cavaliers would need.  AI2, not to be confused with his teammate Allen Iverson, averages 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists, two steals and just over one three-point field goal per game.  He’s an amazing athlete that can throw down with the best of them.  His career field goal percentage is 46.4 percent and he would fit in well in terms of perimeter defense – think Stephen Jackson with less propensity for in-game insanity and strip club gun fights.  He’s great at getting to the line and converts at a fairly high rate.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Mike Bless: Blessed & Prayed Up

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the January 21, 2010

Mike Bless: The ITunes release for “Do It like This” is available right now. It was produced by [Cainon] Lamb who is also the producer responsible for Jazmine Sullivan and her “Need U Bad” billboard record and he’s worked with Missy Elliot. “Do It Like This”, the concept behind that song is a lot of these artists come out with these songs and the strip club is known for breaking records, so a lot of artists make a stripper type song. I didn’t wanna’ have a typical stripper song. We sat down and came up with a concept that can touch all women. I feel like every woman on this earth has an inner stripper. Somewhere deep down, she has an inner stripper and you see that when you go to the club. The song comes on and you see girls start dancing, but not every woman is gonna’ be a stripper. That’s how we came up with t …

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Readers carry on a forbidden love with bacon

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the January 20, 2010

Rumble in the meat department I’m 86. I LOVE bacon — always have! I envied, as a kid during the Depression, a neighbor who had a slab of bacon and would slice some off EVERY day. I found out later it was there because it was their only source of meat. I almost got into a fistfight with my nephew at Heinen’s. He took a package of bacon out of my hand and took it back to the case. I got it back and told him “I’m 80-plus years old and I’ll NEVER stop eating bacon.” He never did THAT again. — Annette Tashjian

As a confirmed ovo-lacto vegetarian (eggs and dairy are OK, but meat, fish, shellfish, poultry aren’t) for 18 years, I suppose I shouldn’t be responding to your “Strip Tease.” But, if I were to ever go back to the demon flesh, [here's a delicacy that] would ha …

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Some Focus on the Modern Slave Trade During MLK Day

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the January 19, 2010

Almost 47 years have passed since Martin Luther King, Jr. made his famous “I have a dream” speech. The United states and the world have made major strides since that time, but human trafficking still has millions enslaved today.
Chair of the Flathead Valley Martin Luther King Day Community Celebration Reverend Darryl Kistler says, “27 million is almost a number that is beyond anything we can think about. That would be taking every person in Montana and multiplying us by 27 and that’s how many people are involved or enslaved by human trafficking.”
According to the U.S. State Department, trafficking exists in every single U.S. state and around the globe. Between 14,500 and 17,500 people are brought to the U.S. every single year under false pretences. Many are forced into prostitution, manual labor, and other services.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: COMMENTARY – Council rolls dice on gambling issue

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the January 19, 2010

… Will we start policing all businesses? If I don’t smoke should we not let Cheap Tobacco (located at 461 Milan Ave.) in town? If somebody calls me to rent my space shouldn’t I be the one to determine if they should be here or not?”
Russ said he wouldn’t do anything to jeopardize his main tenant (Goodwill).
“I think this is the perfect place for it,” Russ said. “We are the only strip center which does not butt up to a residential area.”
Russ’s strip mall is zoned MB (mixed business). He said the city wants to force arcades into areas zoned M2 (the industrial park).
There are no open storefronts in M2, Russ said, noting the business owner does not want to build. Plus, he said M2 butts up to the Ernsthausen Recreation Center. Is that a good place for an arcade? Russ asked.
Russ said tagging arcades as “adult businesses” isn’t fair.
“I don’t think that is an adult business,” he said. “Is Cheap Tobacco an adult business?”
