Cleveland Strip Clubs: Private poker club opens in Berea

Representatives of the club’s ownership attended a Planning Commission meeting seeking a conditional use permit. During the meeting several commission members asked questions and the club’s representatives responded openly to them.
Matt Madzy, board chairman, said members reviewed the request. They looked at the seven points they are required to consider. He said the commission looked at the general use in that location. Members agreed that it was a permitted conditional use.
Madzy added activities at the site would be in compliance with the state gambling laws. If not, someone would then look into the issue. And the conditional use permit would be revoked.
The commission approved the conditional use permit as long as the club conforms with the state and city’s gambling laws, Berea’s signage laws and the mechanical amusement licensing section of the zoning code. It also added the club would not operate as a strip club and alcohol was prohibited.

The trip to Sierra Leone was the second mission project of the program. Mr. Jordan traveled with students and staff to Accra, Ghana, in March 2009. There they teamed with New Horizons School to help children with Asperger syndrome, a form of autism. Next month, they will go to Sao Paolo, Brazil, to help disabled adults and children. Each mission trip is chaired by one Clark student and one Seven Hills staff member.
The response among Clark University students and staff has been positive.
Its especially exciting to see students return with a very different and more informed sense of the world and their place in it, said Edward J. Ottensmeyer, dean of Clarks Graduate School of Management, in a statement.
One of the projects the group hopes to launch in Bo is a small bakery. Mr. Jordan said Fresh-Hope will operate the bakery and offer job opportunities to young women, many of whom have turned to prostitution to survive.

Cleveland Escorts: THE CHEQUERED HISTORY OF A QUIET CONSTITUENCY ON THE AVON…

Between 1923 and 1950 the interests of Stratford and South Warwickshire were represented in Parliament by another ultimately tragic figureSir Anthony Eden (later Lord Avon), who resigned both as Prime Minister and as an MP in January 1957 after the debacle of Suez three months earlier.
The first MP in 1885 was an aristocratic LiberalLord William Compton, 5th Marquess of Northampton. His tenure was brief. The following year he was succeeded by the Conservative Frederick Townsend, who held the seat until 1892. The next MP was a Conservative by the name of Algernon Freeman-Mitford, 1st Baron Redesdalethe paternal grandfather of the legendary Mitford sisters, who brightened up Britains social, political and literary life both before and after the Second World War.
In 1950 a wealthy Old Harrovian of Italian origins by the name of John Profumo, a former soldier, won the newly re-established seat of Stratford for the Conservatives.
In July 1961, at a party at Lord Astors mansion, Cliveden in Berkshire, Profumo was introduced to the call girl Christine Keeler. . .

… This gentlemen right here in the tie,” the president said at one point. “You look great.”
The last time a sitting president had visited was when Harry Truman made a stop in 1947, Sefchik said. In contrast, President George W. Bush held a news conference in Savannah during the 2004 G-8 summit of industrial countries, but did not meet the public.
The first leg of the tour – focused on Allentown, Pa., an aging Rust Belt community – also included a speech and a town hall meeting, both at Lehigh Carbon Community College.
The president also talked up his efforts to create jobs and improve health care and education.
“I won’t rest until things get better,” he promised.
‘Not … my jobs strategy’
A sophomore in Allentown wanted to know whether he might seek to stimulate the economy by legalizing gambling, drugs and prostitution.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Buffalo Catholic Diocese finds buyers for many churches closed in downsizing

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the February 15, 2010

The sale price on St. Gerard has not yet been set, said Keenan, but it will be sold at market value, just like the rest of the churches whose sales have generated more than $4 million.
“None of that money goes to the diocese,” he said. “It goes to the new parishes.”
Toward the end of the closing process, Buffalo Bishop Edward Kmiec established a “Church Property Re-use Committee,” made up of developers, real estate brokers, architects and preservationists to come up with ways to market the properties.
“Our bishop is big on collaboration,” said Keenan.
The diocese kept some of the properties for various uses and still has 20 churches for sale.
“We have sales pending on a number of them,” said Keenan, noting that deed restrictions prohibit buyers from using the former churches for abortion clinics, strip clubs, fortune-telling establishments, saloons or casinos.
