Cleveland Strip Clubs: Brecksville Theater on the Square readies Old Town Hall stage for ‘Gypsy’
Brecksville Theater on the Square costume designer David Glowe and stripper Electra played by Jeannette Luli prep for rehearsal.
“I can understand why she did the wrong things for the right reasons,” said Olejko. “Rose is an onion. Her mother left her alone and traveled, which drove her nuts. Rose wouldn’t let 10 feet separate her from her own daughters.”
Louise, who later becomes the famous Gypsy Rose Lee, is portrayed by Bridget Chebo. Audiences will be sure to appreciate her transformation from the quiet daughter to her role as the chatty stripper with a gimmick.
…
After the performance run, Siniscalchi is leaving local theater for a while to begin a stint as an entertainer at Walt Disney World in Orlando. A young cast of entertainers rounds out the set, including Emily Tabar and Tia Karaplis as Baby June and Baby Louise. Kim Bush, Jeannette Luli and Heather Hersh are cast as the strippers.
Cleveland Strip Clubs: Opinion: Yankees should be most-disliked
The “Sentiment Rankings” formula ranges from a burning hatred, minus 5, to pure worship, a plus 5.
So why do so many people despise the Indians? They’ve only made the playoffs twice in the last 12 years — their only two winning seasons in that time frame, and they haven’t won a pennant since 1997. It’s not like Cleveland has done much recently to garner such unfavorable feelings from other sports fans.
Not since that stripper took over as owner of the Indians in the late 80s and tried to drive them into the ground have I seen such hatred for such a tough-luck team. It’s a good thing Charlie Sheen and Wesley Snipes turned out to be such stellar athletes or else that whole franchise may have folded by now. Huh? That was only a movie, you say? My bad, disregard that last point.
Cleveland Escorts: Dimora Doesn’t Respond to Prostitute Allegations
CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora spoke carefully today when asked about allegations contained in a federal information that a contractor brought a Vegas prostitute to his hotel suite.
When asked about that information, Dimora said “have a nice day.”
Last week, a one-count bribery information against contractor Ferris Kleem alleged that Kleem paid approximately $1,000 to a prostitute who visited “Public Official One” in his hotel room in Vegas.
Dimora was not named in the information, but matches the description of Public Official One.
In their filing, prosecutors wrote: “Kleem paid a prostitute approximately $1,000 in cash and escorted the prostitute to public official one’s suite….”
Prosecutors say, about three hours later, Kleem made a call. Quote: “Kleem asked Public Official One ‘Was that the best or what?’ Public official one said, ‘yeah, she’s good, but a little chatty.’”
Cleveland Strip Clubs: Catholic Diocese of Cleveland puts churches on the market
The diocese’s Hallinan Center, which once housed the Catholic Newman Club at Case Western Reserve University, is on the market for $1.4 million.
St. Casimir in Cleveland, which has a pending appeal of its closing in Rome, is listed at $975,000. The boarded-up church is the site of weekly protests against Lennon’s downsizing.
Details of the church properties — which include related buildings such as rectories, convents and schools– are available at ccdsales.org, as is information about the re-use of religious buildings. The diocese is selling more than 50 churches throughout 11 cities and three counties, though only 17 are currently listed.
The Web site says the church buildings will be sold with deed restrictions “to preclude certain sordid uses” of the properties.
Restrictions would prohibit strip clubs, abortion clinics, bars and casinos, said diocese spokesman Robert Tayek.

I also believe that Pierce will go down in a heap at least once against the Cavs and ride to the Celtics bench on a siren-equipped Segway.
And if the Cavs are comfortably ahead at that point, I believe James will point the way with his left hand only.
Who can’t wait for Saturday to roll around?
Raise your good hand or your sling. Either one counts.
He should’ve stopped at “Does your mother by any chance wear army boots?”
Miami Dolphins’ GM Jeff Ireland has apologized to Oklahoma State wide receiver Dez Bryant for a question he asked during the NFL’s pre-draft Inquisition of prospects.
In following up on Bryant’s mother being 15 years old when she gave birth to him and understanding that at one point she’d sold drugs, Ireland asked if Bryant’s mother had been a prostitute.

Cleveland Escorts: Wednesday Water Cooler – April 28th, 2010
Once again, I’d like to thank Twitter for making the sports world more interesting. Denver’s J.R. Smith Tweeted, “You play selfish you lose selfish, that’s all I’m saying about the game!” after the Nuggets had fewer assists in Sunday’s entire game (13) than the Jazz had in the second half (14).
NFL news: Dolphins offend Dez Bryant and his mom; Tim Tebow = popular
Boy oh boy, Miami. Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland has the team in hot water after it was revealed yesterday that he asked some extremely leading questions of Dez Bryant during a pre-draft interview. I guess he felt it was important to cover all his bases with Bryant, who has a checkered family history.
But that does justify Ireland asking if Bryant’s mother was a prostitute? Seriously – that’s what Ireland did. He has since “apologized” and Bryant accepted.

Miami Dolphins general manager Jeff Ireland has apologized to former Oklahoma State receiver Dez Bryant for asking whether his mother was ever a prostitute.
The apology came after Yahoo! Sports reported that Ireland posed the question during a pre-draft interview with Bryant.
Bryant’s background received extensive scrutiny from NFL teams before the draft. He was taken by the Dallas Cowboys with the 24th pick in the first round last Thursday.
Ireland issued a statement saying his job is to find out as much as he can about a player he’s considering drafting. He said he told Bryant he used “poor judgment” and appreciates Bryant accepting the apology.
Byrant told Yahoo! Sports the question made him mad — but that he didn’t show it.
Bryant was drafted by Dallas in the first round with the 24th pick.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Cleveland’s own most interesting man in the world
Roberts started his writing career as a six-year-old writing short stories about a boy and his dog. Roberts said his mother absolutely loathed cats and dogs, so he didn’t have pets which led to his writing about them.
Roberts reads about one hundred or so books a year, some of which he reviews for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, those books of course are the murder mysteries.
Roberts’ most loved character is, Milan Jacovich, a Cleveland private detective who has solved murders in fourteen of Roberts’ books. Roberts is about half way through the fifteenth edition, which when it is published will please his fan base.
When asked about his writing Roberts said, ‘Writing is terrifying’, you have to produce, no one does it for you. He also stated that he likes to put some of his favorite causes in his books, like animal abuse, and the destruction of teenage female lives by prostitution.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: A Good Night for the Old Guard
There is celebrating at Iowa State with the hiring of Fred Hoiberg as basketball coach, despite the fact that he has never actually coached before. In Ames, they are just happy to have the Mayor back. And with any luck he will not eventually join the wave of coaches suing the schools that fired them.
The day’s most head-scratching news comes from the N.F.L., where Miami General Manager Jeff Ireland is apologizing for having asked receiver Dez Bryant, during his predraft interview, if his mother was a prostitute. In a realm where tactless questions have become commonplace, writes Michael Silver of Yahoo.com, Ireland has nonetheless reached a new low. In a disturbing story in the distracted-driving category, Washington tight end Chris Cooley was pulled over by the police while being interviewed on a radio show. After mentioning the officer by name in the interview — which Cooley continued through the traffic stop — he did not receive a ticket.
Cleveland Strip Clubs: Where’s my Marriage Ref?
Let me tell you who it is NOT going to be — your kids. They should not be involved in your arguments or discussions. However, if they ride in a family car they will witness at least a handful in their life time.
Your in-laws should never be a marriage ref either; although, self-appointed, nosey mother-in-laws will try to insert their opinion as judge and jury, thereby dooming the relationship. Note: I am speaking from a hypothetical voice because all my moms-in-law are blissfully quiet and never intrusive.
These couples on the Marriage Ref argue over some inane and crazy disagreements. One guy wanted his wife to perform on a stripper pole in their bedroom; another had giant turtles living in the house. Then, I began to think about my own marital conflicts and maybe we couples do argue about some really bizarre and stupid things.
