After accepting money an 18-year old and her driver, age 31, are arrested for prostitution
Tuesday, April 27, 2010
WEST NEW YORK – Shanice Q. Gulley, 18, and Christopher D. Stanley, 31, both of Akron, Ohio, mark the 36th and 37th prostitution-related arrests in town since Dec. 31, Police Director Albert L. Bringa, said.
On Friday, an undercover cop called the phone number of a prostitution service advertised on backpage.com, reports said.
The cop arranged to meet Gulley, also known as “Lovely,” 45 minutes later at an undisclosed location at 58th Street and Palisade Avenue, police said.
Gulley, who informed the officer that her “donation” was $150 for 30 minutes or $200 for one hour, turned up and was arrested after collecting her fee, reports said. She is charged with prostitution.
She was dropped off in a car driven by Stanley, who was pulled over and charged with promoting prostitution, reports said.

Convicted rapist is Fugitive of the Week
CLEVELAND — A Cleveland man who was convicted of rape in 1984 and sentenced to 25 years in prison, has been named Fugitive of the Week by the Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force.
Andre Wolford has a long criminal history, including rape and compelling prostitution, and is now wanted for failing to register as a sex offender, and on robbery charges.
“In 1984, Wolford pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and two counts of compelling prostitution. The victim was 18 years old. There were also gun specifications,” said John O’Brien, Public Information Officer for the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Department.
O’Brien tells WKYC that Wolford is also wanted for the theft of an SUV in East Cleveland, a city in which he may be living or hiding.

Cleveland Escorts: Martial Law coming to Chicago?
I don’t need to write an entire dissertation to show how this problem can be solved very easily. I could say it in one short sentence and end this article right now. Decriminalize all drugs and allow all citizens to open carry if they so choose.
Statistics prove that in areas where gun control laws are very lax and people can open carry and have guns in the home violent crimes are much lower then places with strict gun control laws like Chicago and D.C.
It’s also a proven fact that violent crime went down significantly after alcohol prohibition was repealed, but people seem to think the opposite would be true today with drugs. Ask yourself one thing, are gangs making huge profits by selling alcohol and cigarettes? Are prostitutes sleeping with people in exchange for some beer? No, they all operate in the black market dealing with anything and everything that is illegal.

Cleveland Escorts: County treasurer: targets of Ohio probe must go
A federal corruption probe has targeted Russo and Dimora following high-profile FBI raids on their offices and homes. Neither has been charged and both repeatedly have denied wrongdoing.
More than a dozen people, including a former Lakewood mayor, former county employees, contractors and former school board members in the area, have been charged in the investigation. Most have pleaded guilty and agreed to cooperate.
The probe helped spur voter approval last fall of a change in county government, effective next year, from three commissioners to a county executive and elected 11-member county council.
Rokakis said Russo and Dimora should step down to save the humiliation their families suffer with each new development, to restore the county’s reputation, to preserve support for next month’s levy and to restore the confidence of county workers.
In the probe’s latest twist, a contractor was charged Thursday with bribing officials with money, travel to Las Vegas and, in one case, a prostitute.

… I am pleased to finally have a Cuyahoga County Democrat to join me in this pursuit,” Dolan added, referring to Rokakis. “The actions of Dimora and Russo have crippled the county. Their resignations are one more step towards a return to an honest and efficient government.”
A spokeswoman said Dolan sent the private letter in March but in campaign appearances has been publicly calling on Dimora and Russo to resign. (Dimora, perhaps not coincidentally, took aim last week at one of Dolan’s key campaign plans.)
Today’s statements from Dolan and Rokakis came a day after federal authorities charged a local contractor with bribing Dimora and Russo in a number of ways, including hiring a prostitute who visited Dimora during a trip to Las Vegas. The charges do not identify the two county officials by name, but the description matches Dimora and Russo. They have not been charged with a crime and have repeatedly denied wrongdoing.

Cleveland Escorts: Berea’s Coe Lake surfaces in county’s corruption probe
The U. S. District Court charged Ferris Kleem, a Berea resident and businessman, with conspiracy to commit bribery concerning programs that received federal funds.
The Coe Lake Nature Trail and Bridge Project, which received a $150,000 Community Development Block Grant in 2007, was one of the ventures noted in the 22-page federal document. In part, the document said Kleem asked county officials to use their influence to help the city obtain the grant and expedite that process.
The document also charges Kleem with giving items of value to J. Kevin Kelley, a former county employee and Parma school board member, and to unnamed public officials in exchange for official acts. The valued items include cash, a refrigerator, gaming chips, financing a Las Vegas trip, agreeing to a partial change to a insurance group and hiring a prostitute for one of the unnamed public officials, believed to be Commissioner Jimmy Dimora.

Cuyahoga County: Treasurer Rokakis calls for Dimora, Russo to resign
CLEVELAND — In the wake of new federal corruption probe charges that were made public Thursday, Cuyahoga County Treasurer Jim Rokakis is calling on County Comissioner Jimmy Dimora and County Auditor Frank Russo to step down.
The federal paperwork filed in federal court detailed an alleged bribery scheme where Berea businessman Ferris Kleem paid for Las Vegas trips for both Dimora and Russo.
Neither Dimora nor Russo were named but the descriptions of Public Official One and Public Official Two match their job descriptions.
Neither has been charged and both have denied any wrongdoing.
Kleem allegedly arranged for Dimora to get the services of a Las Vegas call girl and Kleem brought the girl to Dimora’s suite at the Mirage.
Dimora’s lawyer Richard Lillie claims Dimora got a legal massage.

Cleveland Escorts: Cuyahoga County Treasurer Jim Rokakis says federal probe is "paralyzing …
CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cuyahoga County Treasurer Jim Rokakis diverged from the topic at hand — the county land bank — to make a public plea for the resignations of two of his county colleagues.
“I’ve said this before, not that they’re going to listen, but I want to say it again and I’ll say it publicly both to the commissioner, Jimmy Dimora, and to the county auditor, Frank Russo. And that is that they really need to step down,” Rokakis said today during a forum at the City Club of Cleveland.
His comments came a day after federal authorities charged a local contractor with bribing Dimora and Russo in a number of ways, including hiring a prostitute who visited Dimora during a trip to Las Vegas. The charges do not identify the two county officials by name, but the description matches Dimora and Russo. They have not been charged with a crime and have repeatedly denied wrongdoing.
Cleveland Escorts: Jimmy Dimora Was Provided With a Hooker on Vegas Bribery Junket (Ew)
Turns out he was providing a little more than straight cash. Charges filed in federal court show that when Kleem shipped (by cargo freight, one would assume) Jimmy Dimora to Vegas for a little pampering in 2008, the embattled and bloated County Commissioner was also provided with a prostitute by Kleem.
…
The charges against Kleem say he paid the prostitute $1,000. He then called Dimora and escorted her to Dimora’s suite at the Mirage on the evening of April 8, 2008. On the phone, Dimora said: “This girl … give me a massage that that? Is that what she does and then …” Then the call was lost, according to the charges. Dimora called Kleem back and, according to the charges, asked: “I just said, she gives a massage. Is that how we’re going to start her out?” A few hours later, Dimora called Kleem and thanked him. “Was that the best, or what?” Kleem asked Dimora, according to the charges. “Yeah, she’s good but a little chatty,” Dimora replied. Dimora thanked Kleem, who responded, “No problem, buddy.”
