CLEVELAND, Ohio — A local building contractor hired a prostitute in Las Vegas and escorted her to Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora’s hotel suite in 2008 as part of a bribery scheme to get lucrative county contracts, prosecutors said in charges filed Thursday.

Prosecutors say Kleem paid a prostitute $1,000 before taking her to Dimora’s suite at the Mirage Hotel & Casino on April 8.

As for the allegations of being with a prostitute, Lillie said, “If it was anything at all, it was exactly what he said it was — it was a massage, and that’s not illegal.”

CLEVELAND — A contractor was charged Thursday with bribing two high-ranking county elected officials with money, travel to Las Vegas and, in one case, a prostitute.
The bribery count against Ferris Kleem was filed in U.S. District Court as a criminal information, which usually signals a plea bargain has been struck. His attorney, Ralph E. Cascarilla, could not be reached for comment but a message was left at his office.
The alleged bribes were offered to Cuyahoga County elected officials identified only as “Public Official 1″ and “Public Official 2.”
The attorney for county Commissioner Jimmy Dimora, a target of the federal probe, said Thursday that Dimora, a longtime Democratic Party leader, is “Public Official 1″ but did nothing wrong.

While in Las Vegas on April 8, 2008, according to the bribery county, Kleem paid $1,000 for a prostitute to be brought to the hotel suite of Public Official 1 “for the purpose of providing services.”

Cuyahoga Corruption: New bribery charges involve officials, prostitute
CLEVELAND – Berea businessman Ferris Kleem has been charged in multiple bribery schemes allegedly involving Cuyahoga County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and Auditor Frank Russo, although Dimora and Russo are not specifically named in the court filings.
Neither Dimora nor Russo have been charged with any crime and both have denied any involvement in the ongoing Cuyahoga County corruption probe.
Kleem, 51, the owner of Blaze Building Corporation and part owner of Phoenix Cement Inc., allegedly gave Dimora a refrigerator, a Rolex watch, and a trip to Las Vegas in April, 2008, where Kleem arranged for a prostitute for him on the trip.
FBI and IRS agents raided Blaze Construction and several other of Kleem’s businesses on July 28, 2009.
So far, there has been no comment from lawyers for Dimora and Russo.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Brunner gets some tough press

Brunner gets some tough press in Ohio Senate primary By Aaron Blake – 04/22/10 03:15 PM ET Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner has barely raised any money and is running behind Lee Fisher in the Ohio Democratic Senate primary. And now she’s getting some bad press, too.Brunner is enduring a series of hits on her candidacy roughly two weeks before her May 4 primary with Lt. Gov. Fisher. On Wednesday, the Columbus Post-Dispatch revealed that she had been incorrectly listing employees and their salaries on her campaign finance reports (this is Ohio’s top elections’ official we are talking about). And today, an alternative newspaper in Ohio reports that Brunner, in the late 1980s, represented a strip club in a court dispute over its liquor license.Brunner defended her representation of the Crazy Horse Saloon by saying that its Constitutional rights had been infringed upon. The club was fighting a ballot proposition that effectively took its license away, and Brunner successfully argued that voters didn’t have the …

Cleveland Strip Clubs: 2010 NFL Draft: Tim Tebow Going To the Pittsburgh Steelers? Makes Sense To Me

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the April 22, 2010

The Steelers anticipated the move and signed veteran Byron Leftwich earlier in the week as an insurance policy. Rumors are now swirling that Roethlisberger may be on the trading block if the right offer comes their way.
I don’t know who’d be willing to trade for the guy, considering he’s an elite level talent, which would warrant giving up a heck of a lot to get him, when he is only eligible for 10 games next season.
So I offer up a solution to the Steelers’ predicament.
What quarterback in this year’s draft is big, with somewhat unorthodox mechanics but an uncanny knack for winning just like Big Ben?
Yes, it is Tebow. And he comes with a bonus!
Unlike Roethlisberger who, between motorcycle escapades, strip club extravaganzas and sports bar bathroom run-ins, has found his way into trouble much too frequently, Tebow comes with a No Baggage Guaranteed plan.

Cleveland Escorts: Corruption Probe: Prostitute Allegedly Hired for Dimora

Posted in Cleveland escorts by clevelandhobbyist on the April 22, 2010

CLEVELAND – The federal corruption probe of Cuyahoga County government moved much closer Thursday to its prime targets, Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and Auditor Frank Russo, and now includes an accusation that one of the favors Dimora received for helping steer contracts was a prostitute.
In a one-count information against Ferris Kleem, who was an executive with Blaze Construction, prosecutors lay out in vivid detail the types of favors they believe Dimora and Russo received in exchange for helping make sure county business went to certain firms.

Dimora is not identified by name in the information filed against Kleem, but he matches the description of Public Official One (PO 1). In part, the information alleges that “KLEEM paid a prostitute $1,000 in cash and escorted the prostitute to PO 1’s suite….”

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Poll dance

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the April 22, 2010

Brunner herself has never been shy about carrying the femme torch. Her campaign mascot is Rosie the Riveter, and at speaking engagements she’s been known to share tales of waiting outside the Columbus Athletic Club while the boys inside did business.
Admittedly, her past work fighting for a malfeasant strip club owner could run contrary to her campaign’s feminist narrative and it puts her supporters in an awkward position.
“There is a lot of internal division within the women’s movement about what stand feminists should take on different kinds of sexual practices,” said Susan Hartmann, a professor of history at Ohio State University who specializes in women’s issues and politics.
“There’s one wing that is very anti-pornography and anti-prostitution, but there is another wing that says it is important to be open about sexuality and tolerant about whatever ways that women want to earn money.”
