Cleveland Escorts: Parnell brothel gone but not forgotten

Parnell brothel gone but not forgotten

A brothel that set up around the corner from Prime Minister John Key’s home appears to have closed.

He says since the brothel moved into the complex about two months ago, the blinds were always down and “rough-looking people” would come and go.

Last week the rental property that had been used as a brothel was advertised on TradeMe. The three-storey, four-bedroom townhouse was marketed at $950 week and the ideal tenants were listed as a “corporate family”.
Mr Southard says it appears the brothel has moved on because the blinds were up for the first time since it was set up and the carpark has been empty.
Auckland Council central resource consents and compliance manager Ian Smallburn says the brothel didn’t have to apply for resource consent because it is in a mixed used zone.

Philomena’s Ristorante Closes

Back in November, the Plain Dealer offered a glowing review of Philomena’s Ristorante (7503 Granger Rd.) in Valley View, which had opened a few months earlier in late summer. I am in no position to comment on the restaurant because I never had a chance to eat there.
Just before the first of the year, Philomena’s Ristorante closed its doors after just six month in business.
Set in the former home of Cleveland PM, long a restaurant and short a strip club, Philomena’s had been attracting a steady following. The Sunday Grand Brunch was a fast favorite. A former staffer says that business never managed to overtake overhead

Cleveland Escorts: Colorful Kohler’s checkered past doesn’t stop oddball from getting elected

Posted in Cleveland escorts by clevelandhobbyist on the January 27, 2011

Then, in 1921, he was elected mayor in what The Plain Dealer called “the most bizarre and dramatic mayoralty fight Cleveland has ever witnessed” – one in which he was opposed by Democrats, Republicans, newspapers, ministers and civic organizations. And one in which he had no organization, no campaign funds and made no speeches and no promises.
Fred Kohler dropped out of school in the sixth grade to work in his father’s business. In 1889, at the age of 25, he achieved his boyhood dream of becoming a police officer. He rose quickly through the ranks and in 1903 was named chief by Democratic Mayor Tom L. Johnson, even though Kohler himself was a Republican.
He built a national reputation as a spit-and-polish chief who wielded an ax on vice raids while adopting a “golden rule” policy in which first-time minor offenders were released with a warning. He put houses of prostitution out of business by stationing an officer at the door to take the names and addresses of their customers.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Former Cleveland City Councilman James Rokakis finds you can go home again

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the January 25, 2011

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Former Cuyahoga County Treasurer Jim Rokakis received a grand sendoff Monday night with speeches, standing ovations and a proclamation honoring his career in politics.
The celebration, however, occurred not in the county administration building, but in the chambers of Cleveland City Council, where he served for 19 years. Rokakis left council in 1997 after being elected as treasurer.
Rokakis lost his job earlier this month because of the county reform initiative that eliminated the position of treasurer.
He lamented Monday night that there was no opportunity for a similar ceremony at the county, but added, “It’s always nice to come home.”
The resolution read by former council colleagues Michael Polensek, Kenneth Johnson and Jay Westbrook noted some of Rokakis’ accomplishments on council, including his efforts to close strip clubs in his Archwood-Dennison neighborhood, the creation of a gun buyback program and his role in redeveloping downtown Cleveland.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Why it took me 20 years to like Ed O’Neill

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the January 25, 2011

Most kids who planted themselves in front of ‘80s and ‘90s sitcoms watched their fair share of Married…With Children (1987-1997). It provided a breath of fresh (actually, make that smoky) air — an unapologetic, raunchy look at family life. It wasn’t one of my favorites, but I found myself watching it when nothing else was on (sort of like how these days, I might watch Tyra or The Doctors when it’s midday and pickings are slim).
Peggy was conniving (and funny), Kelly was ditzy (and funny), Bud was sleazy (and funny-ish)…but Al? NOT funny. Apathetic, unmotivated, and miserable? Sure. Funny? No. At least, not to a 10-year-old girl.
I’m probably in the minority of viewers who didn’t guffaw every time Al put his hand down his pants and talked about the Nudie Bar. But I just didn’t get him. Maybe I was too young. If this show aired today, I’d probably appreciate him more. But Ed O’Neill was pretty much the reason I didn’t really enjoy watching Married…With Children. And every time I saw him on TV — even without that ugly floral-patterned couch surrounding him — the same thing came out of my mouth:

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Prosecutors say Antun Lewis set deadly fire but offer no motive for why

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the January 25, 2011

He said prosecutors have a witness, a prostitute who cooked crack cocaine with Lewis, who claims Lewis became agitated a week before the fire because of a problem on the East Side.
“They don’t know who they’re messing with,” Sierleja quoted Lewis as saying. “I’m thinking of shooting them all, but there’s too many. I’ll burn them instead.”
Also, in the moments before the fire started about 2:50 a.m., Lewis received a cell phone call in which he asked someone: “Is that (expletive) Nicole was in the house?” Sierleja said. The prosecutor said an accomplice who was with Lewis at the time overheard the statement.
The accomplice, convicted thief Marion Jackson, knew Lewis through the crack-using prostitute. Jackson said Lewis asked him three days before the fire to help him with a job: burn down the home at 1220 E. 87th for $1,500, according to Sierleja. Jackson refused, saying that he couldn’t do it. But he served as Lewis’ lookout, partly out of fear of Lewis.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Study Finds Mentally Ill Jailed Too Often

Study Finds Mentally Ill Jailed Too Often
A recent Gallup poll shows the majority of Americans think “failure of the mental health system” was to blame for a disturbed gunman being able to carry out the shootings in Tucson.
But the mentally ill in America are slipping though the cracks in other ways.
A recent study found there are three times more mentally ill people in U.S. jails than in hospitals.
Dennis Bindell is an inmate at the Summit County Jail in Akron, Ohio,  arrested for public indecency.
“False arrest,” claims Bindell.  “I am a male stripper, and they woke me up with three hours of sleep.”
Diagnosed with mania, Bindell has a hard time controlling his thoughts.
He is housed in the jail’s mental health pod.
Chief Gary James, who runs the jail, says nearly one in five inmates has mental health issues.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Sundays With Seth: ‘American Dad’ and ‘Cleveland Show’ Recaps

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the January 24, 2011

Or is it that with each generation living longer and longer, we’ve decided to add those extra years to our youths instead of our adult lives? Maybe it isn’t weird to see a 30-year old skateboarding or free-running any more.
The alternative is to settle into the boredom of adulthood. Once there, most men spend much of their time trying to recapture the simple joys of their younger years. On ‘The Cleveland Show,’ Cleveland and Terry thought of a promotion not in terms of greater responsibility and more money, as their wives did, but rather as a chance to slack off even more.
When Tim got the promotion, they could scarcely understand why he was taking the job seriously. Who wants to be all “adult” about it? Certainly not the two guys who still like to splash in the creek and frequent strip clubs. One channels the little boy inside of them, and the other the teenage pervert that never quite goes away.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: The Boys Get Busted When Tim Installs a Nanny-Cam in Their Truck on ‘The …

Posted in Cleveland strip clubs by cleveland-stripper on the January 24, 2011

It always sounds like it would be a great idea if one of your friends becomes your boss. Visions of half-days and sanctioned slacking off dance through your head. Unfortunately, the reality rarely delivers quite so generously, as Cleveland discovered on ‘The Cleveland Show’ (Sun., 9:30PM on FOX).
When Tim the Bear took a promotion that put him over Cleveland and Terry, the boys thought they were going to be able to get away with anything. Actually, they were just hoping to continue their usual slacking off and get away with it.
Unfortunately, Tim decided to install nanny-cams in the installation trucks to assess productivity. What he caught was a string of events that became more and more difficult to justify.
Strip club visit? Could be a routine cable installation. Frolicking in a creek? Cleveland’s blanket statement that he didn’t remember that one was probably the only viable excuse. But then the drive-thru strip club? First of all, how does that even work? Second of all … yeah, you’re pretty much out of excuses at this point.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Lorain man busted on drug charges

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the January 22, 2011

LORAIN — Officers checking on a home with numerous drug and prostitution complaints arrested a 22-year-old Lorain man at the home and charged him with trafficking in cocaine and other charges.
While doing “knock and talk” at drug complaint locations Thursday night, officers stopped at 511 W. 17th St. around 7:18 p.m., according to a Lorain police report. When they knocked on the door they heard people moving around the home before the renter, who had a history of drug abuse and soliciting, answered.
She told police she had several people visiting and if officers wished to speak with them, they would have to do so outside. As several people came out to the porch, they were checked for active warrants.
Meanwhile, another officer walked around the side of the home and found a clear plastic bag on the ground with multiple bags of crack cocaine inside, according to the report.
