Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the June 30, 2011

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -
A four-count indictment has been filed against Timothy Davis related to juvenile sex trafficking.
Davis, 41, lives in Elyria. He is charged with three counts of juvenile sex trafficking and one count of attempting to destroy evidence.
Between September 2010 and February 2011, Davis knowingly recruited, enticed, harbored, transported, provided, obtained and maintained by any means a juvenile identified as “H.M.” for commercial sex acts, in reckless disregard of the fact that “H.M.” had not attained the age of 18 years, according to the indictment.
In December 2010, Davis transported “H.M.” from Cleveland to Jacksonville, Florida to engage in prostitution and commercial sex acts, in reckless disregard of the fact that “H.M.” had not attained the age of 18 years, according to the indictment.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney James V. Moroney after an investigation by the Cleveland Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Violent Crimes Task Force.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Women describe attacks by Ohio slayings suspect

Wade testified that she emerged from being knocked unconsciousness to hear Sowell ordering her to take off her clothes. Instead, she clawed at Sowell, the two fought and eventually they fell down the stairs, with Wade fleeing out the door, she told the court.
She flagged down police and told them she had been attacked, where it happened and what the attacker looked like. From the stand, she identified Sowell from the police photo taken at the time and gently fingered an evidence photo showing her neck scratches.
Under cross-examination, the defense tried to challenge her credibility by focusing on her drug use and criminal record.
Sowell wasn’t charged in the attack and Wade said she didn’t know what became of her complaint. Some relatives of victims have said that police were indifferent to assault complaints involving women involved in drugs and prostitution. The city later formed a task force to address the widespread criticism of how officers handled sex crimes reports and missing person investigations.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Strip club unlikely to open

Posted in Cleveland adult entertainment by clevelandconfidential on the June 30, 2011

In Johnston, adult-entertainment businesses must seek a special-use permit, which goes before the planning board and County Commissioners for approval. Gray said the last such application was for a swinger’s club at McGee’s Crossroads, but the planning board voted against the permit, and the business owner withdrew his application before it went to commissioners.
But if dancers at a nightclub like The Bunny Room keep their clothes on, Gray said, the establishment would not be considered adult entertainment. Nightclubs that don’t offer adult entertainment don’t need special-use permits, Gray said.
After the planning department told The Bunny Room it could not host adult entertainment, the owner promised Gray there would be no nudity. He has since told the county that plans for the club are on hold and that he might seek another location.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Save Detroit Theater As Historic Building- Boycott Sloane McDonald’s To Not Buy It

Save Detroit Theater As Historic Building- Boycott Sloane McDonald’s To Not Buy It
The city of Lakewood should refurbish and re-open the Detroit theatre rather than replace it with another fast-food restaruant serving junk food and bringing noise, traffic and congestion while eliminating culture and entertainment. Why allow it? We would not allow an abortion clinic, strip club, or noisy, smelly factory. Leave McDonalds on Sloane where it fits in.
The recently closed Detroit Theater in Lakewood can be saved if Lakewood residents quickly get organized and work smart. Lakewood mayor Mike Summers hosted a meeting June 15 on the subject at Lakewood Public Library, with only one day advance notice by his letter in the Lakewood Observer. Yet over 100 residents attended, 99% of them opposing the mayor’s announced intention to replace the theater with a McDonald’s instead of trying to save it. Unfortunately, nobody is running for election against him [note to Jim O’Bryan, the County Board of Elections says you did not submit your petition sign …

Ohio Lottery and Lorain Port Authority inadvertently buy ads in gallery with stripper

If it weren’t for the pasties and thong, the state of Ohio might have been in the porn-promotion business.
Until Friday, that is. That’s when the Ohio Lottery pulled its ads from an Internet photo gallery that showed a shapely blonde woman undressing in stages — fully clothed at first but with little left to the imagination by the 114th frame. The color photos have ads from various sponsors underneath them as well as in some of the sequential frames, just like TV shows have commercials.

Clear Channel did not respond to questions emailed to a spokeswoman. Its station websites have links to a number of photo galleries, but the one with the blonde stripper appears to have originated with WEBN in Cincinnati. The WEBN logo is in the backdrop of a few photo frames, even when viewed on Cleveland stations’ websites.
