THEFT FROM AUTO, PORTER ROAD: Police responded May 22 to reports that a group of boys was breaking into parked cars in the area of Porter and Midvale roads. A victim there reported $14 missing from his wallet inside an unlocked truck. Officers spotted one suspect but were unable to apprehend the boy or his accomplices.
AUTO THEFT, LORAIN ROAD: A woman told police somebody stole her white 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt from the parking lot of a local nightclub. The woman had left the vehicle in the lot overnight after consuming too much alcohol to drive. When she returned the following day, the car was missing.
THEFT, COUNTRY CLUB BOULEVARD: Workers at Dillard’s told police May 22 a woman tried to steal 11 Polo shirts valued at $75 each from the store. The suspect told store security workers that she planned to re-sell the shirts for cash. Officers later discovered the woman had a lengthy criminal history including past charges for prostitution, robbery, felony assault, domestic violence, drug abuse and forgery in three states. She was turned over to Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s deputies.
