Although the arrest warrant alleges that McNeill kidnapped the child “without the consent of the victim’s parent or legal guardian”, the Fayetteville Police Department has alleged that her mother was involved as well and that she allegedly sold her daughter into sexual slavery.
Fayetteville police arrested Shaniya’s mother, Antoinette Nicole Davis, age 25, and charged her with one count of human trafficking with a child victim and one count of felony child abuse through prostitution acts.
In the arrest warrant, police allege that Ms. Antoinette Davis “did knowingly provide Shaniya Davis, with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude” and that she “did permit an act of prostitution with Shaniya Davis.”
