ODOT Charges Involve Bribes, Strippers

CLEVELAND — Two Ohio Department of Transportation employees and a vendor pleaded not guilty Friday to charges they misused government money and property.
Investigators said its the first round of charges in a case that involves bribes, bid rigging and even strippers and sex.

Todays appearances follow a scathing report from Ohios Inspector Generals that uncovered corruption at the garage. It alleges that bribes, like jewelry, cash, trips, and even lap dances at strip clubs were given to ODOT managers in exchange for rigging contracts by altering bid documents.
Allegedly, an ODOT facilities manager even paid a stripper to have sex with him in his minivan parked inside the ODOT garage, and gave $4,000 to a stripper for a breast augmentation.
