“THE GREAT AMERICAN TRAILER PARK MUSICAL” TO BENEFIT LOCAL AIDS SERVICE AGENCIES
The Great American Trailer Park Musical will be performed on Monday, August 24, 2009 (8:00pm) at The Cassidy Theatre in Parma Heights, and on Monday, September 14, 2009 (7:30pm) at Weathervane Community Playhouse in Akron. Spend an evening with the residents of Armadillo Acres trailer park in a laugh-filled evening, with a plot featuring a stripper, gossip, adultery, agoraphobia, hysterical pregnancy, huffing, kidnapping, trashy television talk shows, a bad perm, reckless driving, capital punishment, flan, singing, dancing, and – of course – a tornado headed for the trailer park.
Performed off-Broadway in 2005, “The Great American Trailer Park Musical” centers on Norbert and Jeanie Garstecki, whose plans for their twentieth anniversary celebration are sidetracked by Jeanie’s fear of leaving their mobile home…and by Norbert’s dalliance with the bombshell who just moved in next door, Pippi.
