The newspaper says Steelers president Art Rooney negotiated the deal. Terms were not available.
NEW CITY, N.Y. – Hall of Fame linebacker Lawrence Taylor pleaded not guilty on Tuesday to an indictment that alleges he had sex with a 16-year-old girl in a New York hotel room.
The former NFL star allegedly paid US$300 to the girl, a Bronx runaway, for their encounter in May. Taylor pleaded not guilty through his lawyer to third-degree rape, patronizing a prostitute, sexual abuse and endangering a child.

BISHOP, Texas (AP) – The odds that Joan Ginther would hit four Texas Lottery jackpots for a combined $21 million are astronomical. Mathematicians say the chances are as slim as 1 in 18 septillion – that’s 18 and 24 zeros. Just as unlikely? Getting to know one of the luckiest women in the world.

NEW YORK (AP) – A federal appeals court on Tuesday found that a government policy that can lead to broadcasters being fined for allowing even a single curse word on live television is unconstitutionally vague. The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Manhattan tossed out the Federal Communications Commission’s policy after finding that it violates the First Amendment.
Stamos testifies in extortion trial of Mich. pair
MARQUETTE, Mich. (AP) – Actor John Stamos testified Tuesday that he was “heartbroken” over the separation from his wife six years ago when he met a woman now charged with conspiring to extort $680,000 from him. The “Full House” and “ER” star took the stand during the federal trial of Allison Coss and Scott Sippola, who are accused of demanding money from Stamos, saying they had photos of him with cocaine and strippers they could sell to a magazine.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Nomadic monks bring trail of troubles to Canfield
They arrived from Cleveland last fall — Archbishop Timothy and Father Anthony and the cleric in charge, Metropolitan Stephen. In their billowing black robes, they were looking for a new base for the Syro Russian Orthodox Catholic Church.
It was Archbishop Timothy who first drove past the Canfield Colonial Motel Condotel, a crime-ridden, no-tell motel on a desolate portion of U.S. Route 224.
“My first thought was: This would make an excellent monastery,” says the archbishop, whose earthly name is Timothy Kjera. “The rooms in front are the perfect size for a monk’s cell.”
This would be a religious retreat center where “people can eat with the monks, pray with the monks,” Kjera explains.
Folks in Canfield were delighted when they heard that the holy men wanted to take over a motel long frequented by prostitutes and drug dealers. There was a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Regional Chamber, and a cross was staked out front.
Cleveland Strip Clubs: Hip-Hop Stars Most Likely to Mourn Yankee Owner George Steinbrenner’s Death
Think Diddy has all those White Parties because he enjoys getting ketchup stains on his thousand-dollar shirts? Hell no. It’s at least a partial homage to the crisp, classy aesthetic of his favorite baseball team.
FAT JOE
The proudly plump Bronx baller and Don Cartagena is as widely known for his custom Yankee caps as the TS chains that hang over his chest like Flav clocks. As a native of the borough where Steinbrenner turned the Yanks back into champions, the news has to have hit hard for the Latino hip-hop icon.
50 CENT
Like Fat Joe, Mr. Jackson is rarely seen in public without new, non-broken-in Yankees cap. Even though he’s from Queens, aka Mets country. The bastard. Presumably, he’ll soon be erecting a monument to Steinbrenner in his giant mansion. Hopefully just not adjacent to his private strip club.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Missing Woman’s Family Seeks Answers, Launch Search Effort
At 8:30 p.m., a call to 911 brought search crews from the Coast Guard, Rocky River Marine Patrol and ODNR. After 24 hours by air and water, the Coast Guard suspended the search.
On Sunday, the yacht remained parked at the Cleveland Coast Guard dock.
Nahas’ mother believes that alcohol was involved on the night her daughter vanished.
“They were all drinking. There was a trash can full of empty beer cans, vodka bottles,” she said.
Bill Staiger, with ODNR, tells Fox 8 News that while operating a boat under the influence of alcohol or drugs is prohibited by law, consuming alcohol on board a boat is not.
He also says no tests were administered at the time of the search, and no one on board the boat has been charged with operating under the influence.
On Sunday, Nahas’ family posted fliers along Cleveland’s lakefront, including the flats, where Super said her daughter worked as a waitress for Christie’s Gentlemans Club.
Cleveland Adult Entertainment: LeBron saga wrong place for Jesse Jackson
Riveting stuff that must have been hard to talk about. Only there was one little problem with what Jackson said. It wasn’t true. By every account, Jackson was either hiding behind a swimming pool’s privacy wall or not seen at all when the fatal shot was fired at Dr. King.
And as every other member of the King’s inner circle stayed in Memphis in the days following the murder, Jackson quickly left for Chicago, where he hired a PR agent and told a national audience in an interview on the “Today” show that he was the last person to speak to Martin Luther King.
James Bevel, an adviser to Dr. King, said about Jackson’s behavior in the days after the shooting: “To prostitute and lie about the crucifixion of a prophet within a race for the sake of one’s own self-aggrandizement is the most gruesome crime a man can commit.”

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Cuban wants NBA to probe Heat’s signings
The credibility of this league has gone down the toilet. The Cavs didn’t need better support players to keep LJ. They needed a better nightlife in Cleveland to compete with South Beach. Upgrade those strip clubs if you want to attract free agents. If LJ is the best, the other players should have been coming to him, not the other way around. He took their millions straight out of high school without any intent of staying there. Sure the burden of winning was on his shoulders. It comes with the territory. Cuban is only saying what other owners are thinking: We have lost control over our franchises. For those who say why would the Cavs want him back if he tanked, it’s simple. His leaving probably dropped the value of the franchise by several hundred million. Few stars have ever left during their prime. Jabbar and Shaq both went to LA for the glamour and commercial opportunities. Guess not much as changed since South Beach is the eastern version of Hollywood.

Cleveland Strip Clubs: Missing woman’s mother angry witnesses aren’t talking
The Coast Guard suspended its search on Friday, although it is still providing assistance to Nahas’ family in its search. If Nahas drowned, Super said, her body will likely be resurfacing in the coming days.
Super said a friend donated the money to pay for the fuel for a charter fisher company to search the lake. Other friends, acquaintances and strangers have volunteered to go assist in the search.
Family and friends also held a vigil for Nahas at the East Ninth Street dock near the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland on Sunday night.
Nahas graduated from Midview High in 2008. She previously worked at the Powerhouse Gyms in Elyria and North Olmsted and had also been a ring girl for Superior Cage Fighting, a promotion for mixed martial arts events in the area.
Super was angry that there were rumors that her daughter was a stripper.
