Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Murder case is moved out of Noble-co.
Geiger’s and Pauley’s bodies were found buried in shallow graves on a rural Noble County property. Kerns was found buried near the Rolling Acres Mall in Akron.
Geiger is believed to be the initial victim, killed on or about Aug. 9.
On Nov. 6, Scott Davis, 48, of South Carolina, was shot while at a rural property in Noble County, but he survived by hiding in the woods for seven hours prior to seeking help.
That shooting led to the discovery of Pauley’s body and later Geiger’s body.
Kerns’ body was found after authorities arrested Rafferty and identified Beasley as a co-defendant.
Beasley was a fugitive at the time of the shootings based on warrants for his arrest issued in Summit County and Texas. The indictments against him contain specifications he was a fugitive from justice.
Beasley remained incarcerated in a Summit County jail on unrelated drug and prostitution charges.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Richard James Beasley, accused Ohio Craiglist Killer indicted
The three bodies were found in November of last year. Timothy Kern, 47, of Massillon, Ohio was found in a shallow grave behind a semi-deserted mall in Akron, Ohio. Meanwhile, two other men, Ralph Geiger, 56, of Akron, Ohio and David Pauley, 51, of Norfolk, Virginia were found buried in Noble County.
Beasley aas previously sentenced to 40 years for aggravated burglary in Texas in 1989. However, he was later released and give 34 years of probation.
While indicted on the murder charges, Beasley is actually currently being held on differing charges, for prostitution and drug charges, with a $1 million bond. Rhonda Lee Kotnik, his attorney in that case, said Beasley had yet not been told of the murder indictment. “He’s just been sitting in jail waiting and I haven’t been able to tell him what’s going on because I don’t know either.”

AKRON, Ohio – A self-styled chaplain suspected in a deadly scheme to rob people who replied to a Craigslist job ad has been charged with multiple counts of aggravated murder, kidnapping and robbery and could face the death penalty if convicted, according to an indictment announced Friday.
The charges against Richard Beasley accuse him of killing three men and wounding a fourth in August, October and November.
Beasley, 52, of Akron, who has been jailed in Akron on unrelated prostitution and drug charges, has denied involvement in the Craigslist slayings. He was arrested in November after authorities linked him to the alleged plot.

Cleveland Adult Entertainment: Richard Beasley due in court Wednesday after indictment in Craigslist killings
Summit County Assistant Prosecutor Jon Baumoel said the accomplice, Brogan Rafferty, 16, has been now classified as an adult in his case. Rafferty has been charged with aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder. The Associated Press reported Friday that his case has been transferred to Summit County.
Beasley remains in Summit County Jail. He had been held there on drug and prostitution-related charges. Arraignment on the latest charges against him is Wednesday.
Beasley’s lawyer has said his client anticipated he would be charged for the killings, but has denied the allegations.
Rafferty’s family said Beasley befriended the boy and started taking him to church after Beasley opened a halfway house in Akron. Police now say the halfway house was a front for a brothel, but declined to describe the operation.

Richard Beasley, 52, has denied involvement in the plot, which lured single and older out-of-work men to a non-existent farm in rural Ohio. A fourth man was wounded in the series of attacks last fall.
Prosecutors would not speculate on a motive, but Attorney General Mike DeWine said investigators are looking at “serial killings.”
“Are there more bodies? We frankly do not know,” DeWine said.
Beasley has been jailed on unrelated prostitution and drug charges. He was arrested in November after authorities linked him to the alleged plot. A message was left with the attorney who has been representing him on the non-Craigslist charges.
